ProPay takes security very seriously and if you need customer service over the phone, setting up your security questions will help our customer service representatives with any issues you may have.
Add bank account so that you can easily transfer funds from your ProPay Account.
Select an MCC code.
We’ll need to know a little bit about your business and so it’s necessary for you to select a Merchant Category Classification (MCC) code. To do so, simply select Process Card via Online Terminal and you’ll be presented with the MCC options. You’ll only have to do this once.

How do I log in to my ProPay Account? Go to www.propay.com and login by entering your username and password.
How do I accept payments through my doForms Account? Once you’ve signed up for ProPay, doForms users can effortlessly add a “Collect Payment” button to any forms or invoices they choose right from the doForms web dashboard. When the button is pressed – whether it’s at a storefront, office or on the road – app automatically switches to ProPay payment mode, allows you to swipe or key your customer’s card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express) information via the ProPay JAK card reader or payment app, confirms the transaction and then switches back to the doForms app. There’s no need to login to a separate payment service each time, billing is completely integrated with doForms, and customer payment and billing information is secured end-to-end through ProPay’s encryption and tokenization service. The transaction will show up as “pending” in your account until the funds have settled which generally takes 24-48 hours.
Does my ProPay Account come with a ProPay JAK card reader included? Yes. You should receive it within 7-10 business days. Once you receive, make sure you have downloaded to ProPay App. All you have to do is plug the card reader into your audio jack of your device, launch the app and make sure your volume is up. You’re ready to go process cards.

How do I order more card readers (ProPay JAKs)? Login to your ProPay Account, select “Additional Products”, click “add”, enter the quantity, click continue, review your shipping and payment information to complete your order. Each additional card reader costs $19.95.You should receive with 7-10 business days.
How do I enable my employees to accept credit card payments? First, you will need to order more ProPay JAK card readers. To order more card readers, login to your ProPay Account, select “Additional Products”, click “add”, enter the quantity, click continue, review your shipping and payment information to complete your order. Each additional card reader is $19.95. You should receive your additional card readers with 7-10 business days.
Second, you will need to provide access to your ProPay account for your employees. To do so, contact ProPay Customer Service (866.573.0951) to enable Multi-Level Login. Multi-Level-Login enables you to define additional users that can accept payments on your account. You can assign account privileges and account access for each user. Once your account has been enabled with Multi-Level-Login you can add users to your account.
To add users to your account:
- Login to your ProPay account
- Select My Account>Manage Users
- Click the Add New User button
- Add the user information
- Define User roles or rights
What are processing limits and how will they affect my business? For security purposes and to help combat fraud, ProPay has set limits on your account. Your default limit has been set to $1,000 per transaction and $5,000 per month. You can always request a limit increase.
How can I increase my processing limits? To increase your limits, email email@example.com or call Customer Service at 866.573.0951.
How soon can I access my funds? Funds are usually available with 24-48 hours.
Who can I contact with questions regarding my ProPay account? ProPay provides live, toll-free customer service. Customer service representatives are available from 6:30AM – 7:00PM Mountain Time, Monday – Friday by calling 866.573.0951. You can also email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Once you’ve signed up for a ProPay account and completed the ProPay Setup, please follow the steps below to enable your doForm to collect payment:
In the doForms form builder, add the Payment Tool to a new form or into an existing form.
- The payment tool can transfer three different items automatically to ProPay:
- Amount (required): the total amount to be processed by ProPay
- Invoice # (optional): a unique invoice number that can be assigned to each transaction
- Customer Email (optional): to send a receipt of each transaction to the customer
- Select Payment Tool from the toolbox, place it into your form and chose the Automated payment type in order to swipe credit cards. (The Manual option requires you to manually input the credit card number.)
- Make sure ProPay is chosen as the vendor.
- Set the appropriate currency and then point to the fields in your form that contain the correct information for the items doForms transfers to ProPay.
You may now publish your form, open it on your mobile device and begin collecting credit card payments using doForms and ProPay.
Fill out your form and click the Payment button.
This will launch the ProPay application.
Enter your PIN and you’ll see that the charge amount has been carried over from your form.
When collecting payment from this point forward, you’ll be prompted only for your pin.
Process the payment by swiping your customer’s credit card.
Your customer will automatically receive a receipt at the email address you provided.
Review the transaction information on the summary screen and click Done.
The ProPay app will automatically return you to the doForms application.
If you’d like to use emailable doForms to collect payments, you’ll need to link your doForms account to your ProPay account.
Go to Manage > Account Settings > My ProPay Account and enter your ProPay account number, which can be found on the home screen of the ProPay portal.
Web payment is just like mobile payment, only no ProPay JAK swipe device is required and the end customer must fill in the payment fields online in order to submit their payment.
